What is Our Vision?
To build families who will stand and do God's Will. To pass our faith on to our children. Our vision is to raise up true leadership by establishing the five fold ministry and the gifts of the spirit in the church. Our vision is to build and grow a New Testament church that will engage in spiritual warfare that will bring glory to God by destroying the works of the devil over our community, state, and nation. To raise up true leadership by establishing the five fold ministry and the gifts of the spirit in the church. To fulfill Luke 4:18-19.
This church is to be a house of victory, salvation, deliverance and healing (physical and emotional healing). To be a house of worship and praise. A place where people can touch God and God can touch people.
Our Mission
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." -Acts 1:8
Our Heritage
Pastors Mark and Mary Crawford along with a small group of dedicated believers from around Avoyelles Parish founded Christian Family Worship Center in January of 1995. The greatest need in Avoyelles parish is for the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ be made known to all.Pastors Mark and Mary were saved in 1985 and have been pursuing God's purpose for their lives and community ever since. They believed that the greatest need in Avoyelles parish is for the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ (that a person must be born again to enter the Kingdom of heaven) be made known to all. Pastors Mark and Mary have an understanding of the religious darkness that keeps people from this truth, because they were raised here in Avoyelles Parish. Their passion is to see that the message of the gospel be delivered to every household of Avoyelles Parish. Pastor Mark has received his Bachelor's degree in Theology from Christian Life School of Theology in Columbus, Georgia. Pastor Mary has also received her Doctor's degree in Theology from Christian Life School of Theology in Columbus, Georgia.
Our Denomination
Denomination: A large group of religious congregations united under a common faith and name, organized under a single administrative and legal hierarchy. Christian Family Worship Center is administrated and governed by an elder/deacon board. All of the decisions of the local church are made by a unanimous decision of the elder/deacon board of the local church. Christian Family Worship Center is a non-denominational independent church.
Our Covering
Being a non-denominational independent church does not mean we do not have a covering. We are in relationship with Apostolic Resource Ministries (ARM) founded by Apostle Chuck Clayton. ARM is made up of a group of people that are in a relationship to one another to fulfill the great commission of our Lord Jesus Christ. Pastors Mark and Mary Crawford are both ordained by ARM and are part of what is called an accountability team. Pastors Mark and Mary Crawford are both ordained by ARM and are part of what is called an accountability team. They are held accountable to ministers outside the local church. This means that they relate to them in helping to build the Kingdom of God through the local church. ARM is an organization that networks ministers together that are of independent, non-denominational, inter-denominational, and even some denominational churches.
What Does ARM Do?
- Provides relationships and fellowships to the ministry.
- Provides resources to help equip the ministry.
- Provides an accountability team to protect the church and the ministry.
